Does Moodle support our pedagogical design?
Ultimately, I see Moodle as a constructivist style of learning.
The work by Ernst Von Glaserfeld and Jean Piaget highlights that digital
learning focussing on students actively being involved in their learning. http://cmapspublic3.ihmc.us/rid=1LGVGJY66-CCD5CZ-12G3/Learning%20Theory.cmap
The TPACK Framework (Technological, Pedagogical, Content,
Knowledge) also highlights the importance of utilising current technologies to
engage and continually adapt. http://tpack.org
Hi Marina,
ReplyDeleteYour pedagogy is really up to you and it is not too difficult to have Moodle support all of these approaches. OLTC20006 is a good example of this.
In terms of learning to use and exploit the power of Moodle, you have come to the right place as I was one of the academics who evaluated Moodle and another LMS when the University was making a decision on what to adopt.
Since then I've been a avid user of the Moodle platform and am happy to provide one-on-one zoom sessions to help you along the way.
Best,
Scot.
